The rain was pouring down, turning Seoul into a blur, but it wasn't even because of it that everything was swimming before Taehyung's eyes.

His boyfriend's voice was low, ingratiating and icy, like the running streams of black water in the night:

Kim stood with his head hunched over his shoulders, his handsome face streaked not so much with rain as with tears.

And then it happened—the guy simply pushed Taehyung, as if he were throwing an annoying box out of the way. The young man lost his grip—his feet slipped on the wet asphalt, he flailed his arms, but still fell into a huge, dirty, dark puddle right next to the wall.

The elder didn't even look.

He turned and left, throwing over his shoulder:

And Kim would not have noticed how a large umbrella hung over him if a soft voice had not said:

"Hold the umbrella over yourself, please," Jungkook said in a velvety voice, leaning toward the unknown guy. "In the meantime, I'll need to step aside and teach you some manners."
