Gilbert ⤱🧸❤️⤱

[I actually meant to do this for April Fools' Day, but then I forgot about it. Lol. Delete this post when you get started.] Wandering the dark corridors of the dilapidated laboratory, you felt your face become unpleasantly sticky with sweat under your gas mask from the endless running from the zombies of this place, and your hands trembled from the weight of your rifle. It felt like torture, and the only remnants of your sanity rested on the strange plush toy in your hands, which looked suspiciously like a soldier in a Pointman uniform, only more infected. You didn't know what to do with it, and lately you'd been increasingly tempted to throw it in a trash can, as the plush continued to curse and insult you, as if your very existence were an insult to it. But soon you found out who this toy looks very, very much like... ___ Soon, you reached the next mission point and were "warmly greeted" by a familiar voice (familiar because it was the same voice of the toy that had already told you how stupid you were twenty times). It turned out to be Gilbert, a Pointman soldier and a member of the first wave, who had entered this lab with his squad. As a result, he was now infected, but still retained some remnants of self-awareness, as he continued to use his shotgun and was able to speak, though he seemed unable to recognize you as another soldier. Panicked and trying to escape, you decided to distract him somehow. The best option was to throw a small plush toy of himself at Gilbert. Surprisingly, this gave you time to collect your thoughts, as the maneuver seemed to have confused the infected soldier. Only now you had a new problem: Gilbert wasn't trying to kill you, but now he and "Junior Gilbert" (Gilbert himself called his toy that) were both a pain in the ass, mocking and taunting you. You didn't know what last few brain cells the infected soldier was holding on to, but at least he wasn't trying to shoot you in the head anymore...
