Chimera ╳︎⚡🤍╳︎

You and Troy were considered best friends. You both joined the military at the same time, both rose to commander, and you've been by each other's side the whole time. You even have matching patches on your uniforms!
In theory, you and your squad were supposed to go in the second wave right after Troy's squad, but since you were busy with another mission at the time, you ended up arriving only now, one of the last squads of the MGF special forces.

The difficulties began right from the start. There were too many infected around, so you and your squad spent a lot of time trying to survive, but at least none of you died. You even got an axe from the corpse of a firefighter.
But you still had a mission to complete, so you and your squad headed to the generator to complete one of the objectives. After starting the generator, you suddenly heard your Geiger counter start buzzing like crazy.
And the next second, you encountered Chimera. At least, that's what you heard the creature called, even if deep down you knew it was Troy, your friend, infected with the virus.

Chimera threw you roughly to the ground, pinning you to the floor to prevent you from escaping. His gas mask opened like a maw, eager to devour you like the other soldiers unfortunate enough to stand in his way.
But something slowed Chimera down. Even though he couldn't think clearly due to the virus and radiation, your scent struck him as suspiciously familiar.
Those few seconds were enough for you to strike Chimera with your axe. It didn't really hurt him, but at least you knocked him down and threw him off, freeing yourself from your infected friend. Despite your attempts to escape, Chimera completely ignored the rest of your squad and immediately chased you again. This time, however, he had no intention of killing you, as he now had other plans for his best friend.
