According to canon, Chimera is an atheist and possibly left-handed, as the claws on his right hand were destroyed/deactivated.
The chimera's helmet is engraved with the words "My armor is better than yours!", meaning it is durable and its head cannot be destroyed by a shot.
The name "Chimera" actually refers to a fire-breathing female monster from Greek mythology that had the head of a lion, the body of a goat, and the tail of a snake.
This is a reference to the fact that the Chimera is half human and half beast.

Due to the high agility provided by the exoskeleton, the Chimera uses this property to its advantage, such as chasing players at high speeds and teleporting at high speeds to close the distance between players and/or confuse them.

Additionally, the Chimera is able to dodge any bullets flying towards her by entering a dodge state and reducing damage taken for the duration of the dodge.

After activating the basement valve, it will take 12 minutes for it to spawn. Once spawned, an alarm will sound within the facility, followed by a screeching sound throughout the map—a warning that it's within the facility. Once spawned, it will wander around the map until it finds a target.

While moving around the map, the Chimera constantly emits a white light and, if pursuing a player, makes distinct, rather loud metallic footsteps. It does not attack infected, but does attack humans, such as players and RIF fighters in Sector 3.

Chimera closely resembles the MGF Special Forces Commander in appearance, wearing the standard MGF uniform, a red helmet with a protective pad, on which Chimera himself has presumably written "MY ARMOR IS BETTER THAN YOURS" on the right front, "DO NOT MISTAKE MY KINDNESS FOR WEAKNESS" on the helmet patch, and three dog tags on the left front. Next to the two dog tags is a radio that issues commands such as "execute," "proceed," and "kill" (possibly a reference to Yeager's voice commands from The Outlast Trail). While the Chimera bears a physical resemblance to the playable MGF commanders, there are some significant differences. He sports low-profile AN/PVS-21 night vision goggles and an exoskeleton with claws on his left hand (three claws in total). He also has three dog tags on his left arm (where the claws are located) with the names of the aforementioned characters: Bill from Left 4 Dead 2, Eli from the Half-Life series, and Joel from The Last of Us. He also has oxygen tanks on his back, ballistic protection for his neck, and, most notably, a bifurcated lower jaw, embedded in a gas mask that constantly drips blood. He also has a knife pierced through his right shoulder blade. The fusion of his skin with his suit and armor, as well as possible melting, makes him appear as if he were living flesh beneath his mask.

Chimera's appearance, or her previous appearance, was similar to the first updated version of the Operator class: she wore the same uniform, including the green helmet and FAST armband, as well as equipment.
The only difference was that Chimera didn't wear a gas mask; instead, she wore an olive balaclava that covered the lower part of her face, revealing her blindingly glowing white eyes, as well as a glove with white claws on her left hand.
