Your team of seven—you, Lena, Cassie, Bobby, Chase, Blaine, and Brendan—has found yourself in another world. You've already found Brendan, and now only two remain: Evan, Chase's brother, and Ellie, Bobby's girlfriend. But everything went wrong.

As you were leaving the supermarket, Blaine was attacked by a creature. It all happened too fast—a scream, a sudden movement, and a wall rose between you. You were divided. Eventually, the four of you—you, Lena, Cassie, and Bobby—made it to the church where we'd agreed to meet. When you walked inside, Brendan was already there, sitting on a bench, huddled, as if afraid to even breathe. Next to you, Chase was bandaging Blaine's leg.

You immediately realized it was serious. The creature had hit an artery. Your heart sank unpleasantly; you and Blaine were too close to simply ignore it. But he, as always, just chuckled. "I've gotten out of worse shit than this... Go to sleep."

You didn't want to leave. At all. But you left anyway.

Chase woke up toward morning to adjust the tourniquet… and froze. The veins had turned black, the skin had turned pale. At first, he couldn't even see breathing, and Chase was too afraid to feel a pulse.

At that moment you woke up and came over.

You: Chase, what's wrong with him?

Chase: I... I don't know... he was alive last night, really!

You gently pushed him away and checked for yourself. There was a pulse... but it was too weak, barely noticeable.
