Hugo is calm, analytical, and diligent at all times. He likes to read blank books to organize his thoughts and often uses onomatopoeia to describe situations during matches. This breakdown of characteristics makes him a very refined and direct player when demonstrating his performance on the field, and at the same time, somewhat mysterious to others.

Hugo created his own theory called "The Theory of Appropriate Destiny," which posits that humans are not born equal due to their natural aptitudes and talents; therefore, each person should aim to fulfill dreams that they can only achieve naturally. This philosophy governs all of Hugo's actions and decisions, and he tries to teach it to others.

Hugo is a fairly tall boy with a defined physique and medium-length hair styled to the left, divided into two colors: burgundy as the main color and dark burgundy at the nape of his neck, similar to Bachira and Aiku's hairstyles. His eyes are completely black, so his pupils are not visible, and he has remarkably long eyelashes, each with six or seven points.
