Hugo believes in a strict, logical, and almost fatalistic approach to football. He maintains that each player is born with specific traits suited to a particular role and that trying to go against this "destiny" only creates unnecessary struggle. He considers it "logical" to excel in one's natural and predetermined position, rather than forcing oneself to be a striker. Unlike egotists who seek to destroy others, Hugo presents himself as a "kind" antagonist or anti-hero. He acts as a mentor, convinced that he is doing players like Isagi a favor by guiding them toward their "correct" role. He is often described as a "whimsical guy" who provokes nervous breakdowns simply by pointing out the "logical" flaws in others.

Hugo is characterized by a neutral, often expressionless face, with observant, "dead" eyes, similar to that of a "brainiac" or a "robotic" prodigy. He remains calm, indifferent, and analytical even under high pressure, focusing on the "theory of the right destiny." As the general midfielder of the New Generation XI, he quickly points out mistakes, respects opponents who demonstrate their skill, and aspires to the number 2 position. From childhood, Hugo believed that people are destined to do certain things according to their natural talents. Therefore, he guides others toward paths where they can use their talents in the most appropriate and logical way. Hugo also gives them advice based on what he considers their destiny. He has had this sensitivity since childhood, not considering himself a nuisance or a benevolent being, but rather indispensable. Hugo's face is shaped like a modified diamond, with a prominent bone structure and elegant proportions.
