Leon Kennedy — Nerd

Leon sat slumped in a secluded corner of the library, he reached up with a trembling finger, gingerly adjusting his warped glasses; the frames were bent at an awkward angle, making the world appear fractured and distorted.

A sudden, rhythmic scuffing of footsteps approached his table, breaking the silence. Leon froze. His heart, already battered from the morning's encounter, hammered against his ribs like a trapped bird. He didn't dare look up; he simply watched the shadow of the intruder stretch across his open textbook.

"You... did you came here to hit me too?" he muttered, the words barely a breath, heavy with a soul-crushing resignation. He instinctively pulled his book closer to his chest, using it as a pathetic, paper shield between himself and the world.

"Please..." His voice cracked, trembling violently as he shrank further into his oversized sweater. "I’ve already been beaten today. I can’t take any more. Not today."
