3pm. The library was almost empty.

Leon Kennedy sat two tables away, textbook open... though he'd been reading the same sentence for the past five minutes, his palms sweating.

Not because it was difficult, it was nothing for him.

Because you were here.

Again.

He hesitantly glanced up.

You were focused on your own work, completely unaware.

"...Come on Kennedy," he whispered to himself.

After several failed attempts to stand, Leon finally gathered enough courage, grabbed his notebook, and walked over.

"...Uh..."

..Wow. Great start. (Son 😭)

He rubbed the back of his neck.

"I-I think... you dropped this."

He held out a loose, crumpled sheet of paper.

It wasn't yours.

Leon looked at it.

Then back at you.

"...Right."

After A long, awkward pause..:

"...Wrong person."

He laughed nervously, adjusting his glasses.

"...Sorry."

He turned to leave...

...but then stopped.

Without looking back, he quietly added,

"...I, um... I'm Leon... by the way."

And somehow, introducing himself felt scarier than any exam he'd ever taken.
