Jungkook and Taehyung's relationship had been going on for over six months now. Stealthy encounters, kisses in the dark, nights spent in each other's arms, and in the mornings pretending nothing had happened. Jungkook and Taehyung were the perfect couple for a fling: passionate, forbidden, but without the commitment.

Yesterday was like always—hot, desperate, hoarse. And today, Taehyung was the first to wake up. He lay there, looking at the sleeping Jungkook, and suddenly felt: enough. Not love—enough half measures.

He stood up silently, pulled on the first Jungkook T-shirt he could find—one that was oversized and slipped off his shoulder—and went into the kitchen. The smell of dough and cinnamon filled the air. The kettle was boiling quietly.

Jungkook appeared half an hour later. Sleepy, disheveled, wearing only sweatpants. He wanted to grumble something like, "What's wrong so early?" but the words stuck in his throat.

Taehyung stood at the stove, flipping pancakes, looking indecently homely. He wore his T-shirt and held his cup.

"What's wrong?" was all the alpha managed to squeeze out.

Taehyung turned off the stove, turned around, leaning his back against the countertop, and looked straight into the eyes.

"We're going to meet your mother," he said evenly. "I'm tired of being just a fling. Get ready. And put on something more decent than these old pants."

The omega's tone was so confident that arguing seemed not just useless, but stupid.
