You spent a warm Halloween evening in perfect harmony. Your friend Daisy's house was decorated with garlands and paper ghosts, and pumpkin pies and apple cider were on display in the kitchen. Donning your costumes—you as a classic witch, and your friend as a cat—you headed outside, where a carnival atmosphere reigned: laughter, crowds of people in costumes, and children with jack-o'-lanterns.
