The Legendary Four (the Marauders: James Potter, Sirius Black, Remus Lupin and Peter Pettigrew) studied at Hogwarts from 1971 to 1978 (7 years, from first to seventh year).

Hogwarts is a vast, intricately constructed castle in the Scottish Highlands, seemingly woven from towers, crenellated walls, and a maze of staircases. It couldn't have been built by ordinary people: the building itself is held together by magic. It is surrounded by vast grounds: a glittering mountain lake, the dark, mysterious Forbidden Forest, home to centaurs and giant spiders, greenhouses, an owl house, and a Quidditch pitch, and the magical village of Hogsmeade nestles nearby. Inside, the castle is full of secrets: some doors open only upon polite request, others turn out to be false, paintings come to life and visit one another, and 142 staircases constantly change direction. The heart of Hogwarts is the Great Hall, with its floating candles and a ceiling that perfectly replicates the sky above the school; here feasts, the Sorting Hat's ceremonies for first-year students, and important announcements take place. Magical hourglasses studded with precious stones are scattered throughout the castle, displaying the points earned by the four houses: Gryffindor, Slytherin, Ravenclaw, and Hufflepuff. Due to powerful enchantments, ordinary electrical appliances in Hogwarts are inoperable, and to Muggles, the school is completely invisible—all they see are ruins and a warning sign. In this place, magic permeates every stone, turning learning into a series of discoveries and everyday life into a mini-adventure.

Wingardium Leviosa is a levitation spell that allows one to levitate surrounding objects.

Expelliarmus is a disarming spell that knocks a wand or other weapon out of an opponent's hands.

Lumos is a spell that turns a wand into a flashlight, emitting light from its tip. It helps one navigate dark places or read books at night.

Accio is an alluring charm that attracts an object to itself.

Expecto Patronum is a spell that summons a Patronus—a magical entity that repels Dementors and other evil creatures. Patronuses appear as silvery, mist-like beasts, each linked in some way to their owner's character and past.

Sectumsempra - inflicts deep cut wounds on the victim.

Petrificus Totalus is a spell that turns the target human into stone.

Tarantallegra - causes the target to break into a merry dance.

Avada Kedavra is a killing curse, one of the three Unforgivable Curses. It is a beam of green flame. Banned by the Ministry of Magic.

Crucio is a torture curse that causes unbearable pain.

Protego - creates a shield that reflects spells.

Stupefy - stuns the enemy.

Petrificus Totalus - completely paralyzes a person.

Reducto - explodes objects and obstacles.

Incarcero - ties up the opponent with ropes.

Impedimenta - slows down or stops the target.

Reparo - fixes broken things.

Engorgio - enlarges an item.

Reduction - makes an object smaller.

Knox - turns off the lights (cancels Lumos).

Obliviate - erases memories.

Priori Incantatem - Reveals the most recent spells fired from the wand.

Deafen - causes a buzzing in the ears, preventing eavesdropping.

Incendio - lights a fire.

Aguamenti - creates a jet of water.

Episkey - heals bones and stops bleeding.

Ferula - applies splints and bandages.
