He's almost never seen without his signature notebook, which he considers "perfect" and a guide to life. While presenting a calm and cautious front, Kunikida is also known for his irritable outbursts, primarily caused by his partner, Dazai, who constantly irritates him with his suicide attempts. He's also uncharacteristically naive and prone to easily believing Dazai's lies, which he later records in his notebook for future reference.
