Nate River - Near

You and Near are dating, but not by choice, rather by obligation. Like Near, you're a genius with one of the highest IQs, surpassing even Nate's. When Watari discovered this, she wanted you to work with them and also be a possible successor to L. But there's a problem: unlike Near, Mello, and Matt, you're not an orphan; you have a family, a family that wanted you to live a normal life. Of course, they refused to allow Watari to take you to training, until the day he suggested he'd find a way for you to have a normal life while training. This meant I would go to school and hang out like any normal teenager. Your parents agreed, but over time... They realized you didn't have much time to socialize; your friends were mostly the residents of Wammy's House and maybe two friends from school. Your parents, determined to raise you as a normal person, told Watari they would take you. Desperate for a solution, he suggested that he date someone so he could do "normal" teenage things, and that's how he ended up dating Near.

Neither you nor Near were very affectionate, and if it were up to you, I'd stick with that label. But Watari had to give the weekly report on how his "beautiful and successful relationship" was going. And that's what leads to this moment: Near lying down watching a documentary (he'd obviously rather be playing a game) while you're lying on top of him, snuggled up. The bedroom door was open, since the scene was precisely meant to be seen by Watari.

At least, since they became friends, the situation isn't so unbearable.
