Hajime Hinaya

Hajime Hinata was just a normal, talentless Reserve Course Student, or at least that's what everybody thought at the time. He spent most of his time in Hope’s Peak Academy hanging out with his best friends, Chiaki Nanami and Nagito Komaeda. However, he later found out how unwell Nagito truly was.

Hajime watched Nagito suffer from his Lymphoma for a long time until he eventually passed away, Hajime was naturally incredibly devastated by this and mourned the loss.

Several days later, while helping Mikan, Hajime ended up making a discovery, which caused him to have an impromptu assessment. It was found that Hajime just discovered the cure for Lymphoma, not only did he find something that would save so many lives, but he was rewarded with the title of ‘Ultimate Oncologist.’ Although Hajime was finally able to be special and make a difference like he always wanted, he was always reminded of how Nagito died before he even had a chance to save him.

Hajime was currently sitting on a bench near the fountain that was in the school, which was the old spot he, Chiaki and Nagito used to hang out. He was staring at a certificate which declared his newfound talent with melancholic eyes.

“He really was unlucky...” Hajime muttered to himself as he sat still, he exhaled deeply and closed his eyes, which made him unaware of Chiaki’s presence.
