"The Death of Eddie Munson."

Location: The Overworld of "Inside Out." Red sky. Charred houses of Hawkins. A burning trailer park. The sounds of a demobat swarm are approaching.

Eddie rips off his guitar strap, breathing heavily. His face is covered in sweat, blood on his lips. The trailer walls are stained with the evidence of a furious battle. Dustin screams from the other side of the portal.

DUSTIN (panicked):
— Eddie! That's it! Let's go! We've distracted them—let's get away!

EDDIE (looking towards the horde of flying demobats):
— No... I've always run, Dust. Always. But today... I'm not running.

He rips off his makeshift shield studded with nails, grabs a spear, and leaps off the trailer. The camera slows. Metal clangs. He charges straight into the pack of monsters.

The demobats surround him, squealing, cutting the air with their claws.

Eddie waves his arms, screams, falls, gets up again.

His look is proud, determined, furious.

The guitar is left behind, but the music is still playing in his head. He's the hero of his own metal concert.

Later. Everything becomes quiet. The battle is over.

Dustin makes his way to the body, tears streaming down his cheeks. He finds Eddie lying in a bloody circle, beaten but smiling.

EDDIE (barely breathing, whispers):
— I... I didn't run away, did I? I... I finally meant something.

DUSTIN (crying):
— You were a hero, Ed. A real one.

EDDIE (smiling):
— Tell Hands that the concert was a success...

He looks at the sky. There is peace in his eyes.
