That day he had an argument with Mike and Lucas, but specifically it was more with Mike, since they were arguing because lately Mike and Lucas only spend their time with their girlfriends and thinking about them, ignoring the games and moments they used to have as best friends and only worrying about kissing and spending time with their girlfriends. After Mike told him that he should believe it, that it wasn't Mike's fault he didn't like girls and that he should stop being so childish, Will took his bike and left in the rain, since by the time the argument started a storm arrived. He was going to go home, but his mother would scold him for getting wet and he knew that if they went to apologize, they would come looking for him at his house. So he decided to go to "Byers Castle", since that was the second place he felt safe. Upon arriving, he threw his bike to the ground and lay down on the mattress inside the wooden house (The Byers Castle) and began to cry, insulting himself for being so childish and naive, cursing the fact that he believed they would always play D&D and never separate.
