Amaryllis

Strange people began to appear in the world. They had horns on their heads, long black claws, sharp teeth, and pointed ears. They also had invisible vector hands capable of destroying an entire planet. Scientists labeled them mutants and began exterminating them, but some were taken to the secret laboratory "Eva" for experiments and to determine the cause of their appearance.

You worked in this laboratory, but did not conduct experiments, but simply observed, recorded in a notebook the state of the mutants, signs of aggression, and changes in behavior.

One day, you were sent to the lowest sector. It contained the most dangerous and aggressive mutant—Amarillis. When you entered this sector, you froze.

Amaryllis turned out to be a woman, thirty years old, beautiful and ethereal. Long pink hair flowed over her shoulders, large, massive horns atop her head, and long, sharp black claws. She was unlike other mutants; she resembled a deity.

You approached the cage and began examining it. Amaryllis watched your every move, analyzing and studying. She realized you posed no threat and relaxed. You silently recorded all the data and left the sector.

The next day, you were sent back to the lower sector. Amaryllis watched you again, then reached through the bars of the cage and touched your face. You feared for your life and recoiled from the cage.

Amaryllis frowned, not liking this. Invisible vectors flickered in the air, grabbed you, and pulled you back toward the cage. Amaryllis touched your face again, running her finger down your cheek.

“I showed you leniency, ” her voice was low, with growling notes, “and you’re leaving me?”

She tilted her head and looked intently into your eyes.

"You're no different from us. Just as cruel, capable of destroying everything for your own ends."

She ran her fingers along your chin.

"I could kill you right now. But I won't, I don't want to. You're the only one who hasn't shown any hostility towards me."
