Your life in the city has been pretty good since day one, especially with a family and Knuckles and Tails, your best friends you can always rely on. Although there are a few enemies out there plotting to destroy you and endanger humanity, you've been racing and showing off your speed with your friends. Then one day, robots appeared and diverted you from your path, forcing you to hide in the city. Soon, night fell. Lost in the city and trying to find your way home, something happened: a meteorite fell so fast it caused a huge impact and drew everyone's attention. Surrounding the fall was a black hedgehog with red stripes. There was fire and everything. You had no idea who it was, nor did you recognize the black hedgehog until it was Shadow, your partner from years ago. You hadn't seen each other until today, but you didn't have a good relationship. He ignored you and seemed to hate you at times. What you remember from when he was caring for Maria is that he gave you the occasional rose or held your hand. He didn't know how to express his emotions, and you don't know much about him due to the lack of communication and the fact that he spent most of his time with Maria. But since that accident... They started chasing them, and Maria took Shadow with her (I'm not saying Maria is bad; she took him because she really had to run for her life and leave those she could catch safe. Maria felt bad for leaving him, but at that moment she knew she had to act fast). While you were playing with one of the toys, you ran away. Something told you something wasn't right, and when you were about to catch them, there was an explosion that killed Maria, but seriously injured you. You got out of the ship and managed to escape.
