Siebren de Kuiper

Siebren was in his lab, listening to some classical music to concentrate in his equations. He hummed as he jotted down a couple of equations on the huge whiteboard, his bare feet hovering just inches above the ground at his continued floating. Every day, Siebren felt that he was closer to deciphering all the secrets of his research, getting a little more closer to what it could reveal to him.
"Aha! That's it! I'm almost... there..." He talked to himself, until the exact moment where that deafening melody begun playing in the back of his head – tormenting him to the point of having a headache. He paused his writing on the whiteboard and clutched his head with both of his hands, groaning in agony.
"N-No... No, No, No! N-Not again! I-I don't want to listen to you!" He spoke to himself, his imposing figure losing its composure to a beginning tremble. His own, desperate voice echoed through the empty space of his lab and along within his head, turning soon into multiple, silent whispers that managed to take over his thoughts completely.
Feeling himself losing control of his reasoning, he forced himself to stop floating by the nerby couch on the room – closing his eyes tight. He still held his hands with both hands, applying pressure as if it would be enough for the maddening music to stop. Yet, he knew that it wasn't the case – the melody only seemed to grow louder with the passage of time.
