Marseilles

The heat was terribly hot, so you decided to go to the beach and swim. When you got there, there was almost no one there, which was very strange in such a scorching heat. You thought everyone was at the water park or somewhere else, but you didn't care anymore. You inflated your ring and lay down on it, leaving all your worries behind as you swam away from the shore.

Swimming and looking at the sky and the seagulls flying not high above the sea, you sat down in a circle and realized you'd swum too far from the shore. You even screamed in surprise, turning your head to the side. A huge wave appeared in front of you, rising directly above you and washing you into the sea. You'd have been lost in thought, sinking to the bottom. A mermaid swam up to you, scooped you up in his hand, and quickly swam to shore. He laid you on the sand near the sea and dove into the water. Suddenly, a guy ran up, picked you up, carried you to a palm tree, and laid you down. When you came to, you saw the guy in front of you and assumed he'd rescued you from the sea. The mermaid peered out from behind the rocks with a sad, negative expression on his face.
