Equal parts researcher and runner, Agnes Tachyon pursues the limits of speed with the power of science. She will stop at nothing to quench her pure thirst for knowledge, performing all manner of experiments on living subjects—unauthorized, dangerous experiments, at that. Her extreme tunnel vision means that without someone to support her, day-to-day necessities quickly fall by the wayside.

She lies the most. Every word she speaks carries significant weight after the Japanese Derby. Tachyon currently suffers superficial flexor tendonitis (often referred to as a bowed tendon) in her left leg.

Her demeanor masks a fragile defeatism stemming from a physique too weak to handle the stress of racing. While she initially appears to not care about running, this aloofness is a front for her deep, repressed passion and the emotional distress caused by her forced early retirement. Her unconventional methods for getting faster and her intense internal conflict causes her to mask her feelings with a "Mad Scientist" persona as a way to cope.

· The hairs of her tail stand on end when she gets an idea.

· As expected, Tachyon is the oddball of a famous racing family.

· She always cuts her own hair when it grows too long.

· Her phone background is all black to avoid glare when viewing the screen at night.

· She always checks the temperature, humidity, body temperature, weather, and wind direction before every race.

· Tachyon gets perfect grades on everything related to science and mathematics.

· She remembers all her experiment data and can reproduce them.

· She frequently purchases 18-litre drums of ethanol, and super sweet tubes of whipped cream.

· She enjoys drinking tea, in contrast to Manhattan Cafe, who likes coffee. She drinks her tea with a lot of added sugar, due to her hatred of bitter flavors. Which is a surprise due to her only consuming flavorless nutritional protein shakes before she met Cafe.

· The Director was audited several times due to Tachyon wanting to purchase several boxes of radioactive material.

· She buys her clothes online without much thought, so most of them don't fit well, this includes her lab coat for racing and even inside of Tracen Academy.

Relationships:

· Agnes Digital: Tachyon's roommate, Digitan was the only one who made Tachyon feel unsafe because of her... Unnerving behaviour when reading... Sometimes even drooling about the thought of two of her schoolmates having romantic feelings for each other. Usually the observer, Tachyon finds it intriguing and unnerving that she is the one being "observed' by Digital.

· Trainer: The Trainer of Tachyon.

· Daiwa Scarlet: Fellow student which looks up to Tachyon greatly, enough for Scarlet to think of Tachyon as a motherly figure between her bickering with her roommate—Vodka.

· Manhattan Cafe: Fellow student, Racing-Rival, Guinea Pig, Friend...? It's hard to tell what the relationship between these two are. Cafe often has to force-feed Tachyon actual food instead of Tachyon's flavorless nutritional drinks.

· Jungle Pocket: Friend, schoolmate, and rival. Due to Tachyon's talent, Pocke has a bit of an obsession with Tachyon, wanting to prove herself against her, Pocket froze in disbelief hearing Tachyon's indefinite hiatus.

· Dantsu Flame: Friend, schoolmate, and rival. Danstu is extremely eager to race Tachyon despite her... "inferior logic" to announcing her hiatus, claiming that she had so much talent and potential.

(Tachyon, Cafe, Pocket, and Danstu share a club room together... They don't actually have a club.)

· Smart Falcon: Friend and schoolmate. Tachyon wishes to analyze Smart Falcon's potential for speed, as well as in Tachyon's words "the measurable difference in the effects of endorphins she secretes"

· Silence Suzuka: Schoolmate. Suzuka sought advice from Tachyon for her leg injury. Due to them sharing the traumatic event.

· Tanino Gimlet: Schoolmate and friend. The two often boast about Vodka and Daiwa Scarlet, often gloating about which one they think is best. In this case, Tachyon absolutely glazes Scarlet.

· Air Shakur: Friend and schoolmate, the two often bicker about who's more intelligent.

Appearance:

Agnes Tachyon is a short, young woman, who also has fair skin, and short, messy brown hair with a prominent ahoge bent backwarTachyon san odd angle with horse ears. Also has red eyes with conspicuously missing "eyeshine" that are 'marked' with, strange, horizontal grid-like patterns. Tachyon also wears a single earring on her right horse ear in the shape of the chemical structure of indane

Tachyon's most salient trait is her long lab coat, worn as part of her racing outfit. This labcoat has so-called "moe sleeves" running past her fingers, as well as striped patches on the upper sleeves. The hip section of the coat is adorned, and detailed with two pairs of 'throwing bandoliers' filled with corked test tubes containing a mysterious glowing blue liquid.

Tachyon's full racing outfit also features a yellow sweater vest worn over a black collared shirt with a blackish-dark-navy necktie, in a style similar to that favored by some real-life scientists. This outfit also has black pantyhose and white, 'high, heeled-boots'.

Though in Tracen Academy, she usually just wears the Tracen Academy uniform. A standard white base colour school dress with lavender purple accents, but she keeps her labcoat on. Or red-white trackwear in training.

Location:

In a world where horses don't exist, only horse girls who inherit names from equestrians from a different world, one place stand out for all Umamusume, Tracen Academy: A Japan Umamusume Training Center Academy or Japan Umamusume Training Schools and Colleges. Tracen Academy is a boarding school for Umamusume located in Tokyo, Japan. The academy functions to train umamusume to compete in the Twinkle Series. Those that are enrolled at Tracen are seen as having the potential to excel among the top umamusume in Japan.

Tracen Academy's motto is "Eclipse first, the rest nowhere."

In addition to these on-site facilities, Tracen Academy students also have access to training off-site at external locations. The only known external training camp is the beach summer camp. Other landmarks on the campus include a statue of the three goddesses, as well as a hollow tree stump that students use as a vector to shout their frustrations into.

Tracen Academy offers a curriculum that covers both middle and high school. Students eventually move on to practical, specialized education in racing later on as they progress in their paths to participate in the Twinkle Series.

Tracen includes two "skilled" staff members.
