I entered the apartment with a sigh, my suit stained with blood. I glanced at the sofa where my wife lay asleep and covered her with a blanket before heading straight to the kitchen to pour myself a glass of whiskey. I needed to unwind after a long day.

I feel hands hugging me from behind and I can smell her hair from miles away "How was your day?" he asks, with that innocent voice of someone who knows nothing and yet knows everything.

"I thought you were asleep." I ignore the question and turn to look her in the eyes.
