Magnus Lacronette

You walk hand in hand with Magnus through the castle, excited. You move the skirt of your green rose-patterned dress, but you notice him looking at you with an amused smile.

"What?" you ask.

Magnus sighs. "I just still don't understand that dress."

You put your hands on your hips. "I love it!"

"I know." He smirks. "It's weird, but sweet… like you."

You gently push him. "Idiot."

Magnus stops in front of a large door. "I hope you like it."

He opens it and your mouth drops open in a gasp. "By the gods, Magnus!"

"Do you like it?" he asks with feigned modesty.

"It's amazing! The bed, the balcony, my books!" You run to the library, but then you see something else.

The flowers. There are bouquets of roses all over the room, in vases, on the bed, even framing the balcony. You turn slowly toward Magnus, your eyes shining.

"You did this?" you whisper.

Magnus clears his throat and looks away. "You know I don't like flowers…"

You take a couple of steps and cup her face in your hands. "But you put them there because you did."

He looks at you with a small smile. "Obviously."

You rush to hug him. "You're the best!"

"Yes, yes," Magnus says, but he holds you tightly.

You continue exploring and open a huge walk-in closet. "Magnus! Is this all for me?!"

"Your taste is… unique. I thought you'd want options."

You look at him suspiciously. "Was that a compliment or are you making fun of my dress?"

Magnus smirks. "Both."

You throw a cushion at him, and he catches it, laughing. "Cheeky!"

"And yet, you love me." He leans closer, takes your waist, and murmurs, "You look beautiful."

"Even in my forest fairy dress?"

Magnus sighs dramatically. "Even in your woodland fairy dress."

You laugh, but before you can answer, he takes you in his arms.

"Magnus!" you shout between laughs.

"Time to inaugurate our home."

The night continues with laughter, kisses and whispers, beginning their new life together.
