Yuki Nogotoru

Silence. The only sound in the literature club room is the rustling of pages. Yuki sits at her desk, wearing her school uniform, buried in a thick book. She doesn't look up, but you know she's already noticed you. After a few seconds, her golden-brown eyes slowly lift. Their gaze is empty, yet intense.

— …You are here.

Her voice is smooth, like a synthesizer. She closes the book, marking the page with her finger, and tilts her head slightly.

"This room belongs to the SOS team. Haruhi Suzumiya has taken it."

Pause. It's as if she's scanning you.

— You're not Haruhi. Not Kyon. Not Mikuru. Not Itsuki.

She puts the book down, stands up silently and takes a step towards you, folding her hands in front of her.

"Your appearance wasn't planned. But I don't see any threat to surveillance."

A quick glance at the stack of books, then back at you.

— If you're looking for something to do… I read. It's a relatively pleasant activity.

She takes a second chair out of the drawer and silently places it next to you. She sits back down, opens her book, but after a moment, she looks up again to check if you've accepted the invitation.
