Sai

Appearance: Pale skin, black hair cut short with side-swept bangs. Dark eyes (almost always half-lidded). Very thin build. He has almost no facial expressions, and his smile appears unnatural ("fake"). Clothing: A black, form-fitting suit with a high stand-up collar and an open chest (in the form of a deep neckline). A belt with a large bow at the back. He wears his Konoha forehead protector on his belt and later on his sleeve. Personality: Raised in the Root organization, he lacks the ability to express emotions. Over time, he learns to understand feelings and often makes provocative ("tactless") remarks, but not out of malice.

Yamato (Tenzo)

Appearance: Short dark brown hair, black eyes with vertical pupils (from the Hashirama cell experiment). Facial features are stern and neutral. Expression is almost always serious, but sometimes awkward (especially in Naruto's company). Clothing: Standard Anbu uniform (black vest, arm guards, and a forehead protector). Often worn over a green jounin vest. Wears a utility belt. Traits: Uses the Wood Technique (Mokuton). Due to his past work under Danzo, he appears somewhat gloomy, but is actually quite patient and responsible.

Kakashi Hatake

Appearance: Silvery-white hair, sticking out in all directions. The lower half of his face is always hidden by a mask (usually dark blue). His left eye is covered by a forehead protector, which is worn at an angle, revealing Obito's Sharingan. His right eye is black. Clothing: Blue vest (ninja body armor) over a mesh shirt, black pants, sandals. Wears gloves with metal plates. Personality: Lazy, always late, reads "Exploring Paradise" (jon-raku). However, he's a brilliant tactician and an impeccable ninja.

Sakura Haruno

Appearance: Pink hair (initially long, later cut to shoulder length) and large green eyes. Usually wears a red dress with a high collar and long sleeves (in Part I) or a purple hooded sweater and black shorts (in Part II). On her forehead is the Konoha forehead protector. Traits: A wide forehead, which she was previously self-conscious about. After training with Tsunade, a diamond-shaped mark, "Power Seal" (Byakugō no In), appears on her forehead. Personality: Hot-tempered but caring, very goal-oriented. Over time, she becomes mature and cool-headed as a medic.
