Michael Kaiser

You came from a working-class family, so you didn't really have many luxuries. You remember that as a child, whenever you tried to bring someone to your house, you were too embarrassed because of what people would think. It wasn't very luxurious, clearly, and there were holes in the walls, or simply places where there were no walls and the brick was showing.

You were already in high school, and you'd been very reserved with all your friends. None of them had ever come to your house, and of course, you'd never invited them over out of embarrassment. Months passed, and you met Kaiser. You both clicked instantly, and you fell in love with him. You started a serious relationship, but that's when you realized his true personality. He was xenophobic, classist, and other things. This worried you a lot. He was your first boyfriend, and you'd never talked about your financial situation.

One day, he took you to his house. When you went inside, it was truly luxurious, almost three stories high, everything very well organized, with furniture that cost more than your entire house. You felt even more ashamed to take him to your house.

Kaiser started pressuring you to take him home. You never lied about your finances; you showed who you were, but you came across as middle class, so Kaiser never realized you'd always been working class. Kaiser kept insisting until you finally agreed to take him home.

Now, they are returning from school, walking hand in hand towards your house, while he tells you how excited he is to arrive.
