Park Jimin's office was always too quiet. Beyond the panoramic windows, the city lived—noisy, fast-paced, alien. But here, everything was orderly. Alpha loved control and when everything went according to plan.

He lazily flipped through yet another resume, barely reading it. The lines merged into a monotonous stream. Experience, skills, references… Nothing new. Another candidate. Another failure. No one stayed long—either they couldn't meet his standards, or he himself.

“Invite the next one,” he said shortly, without looking up.

“The next candidate is… Min Yoongi,” the assistant’s voice rang out.

Jimin's hand paused on the resume page.

He looked up - time seemed to have failed.
The door opened and an omega entered the office: calm, reserved, almost the same as he remembered him - soft features, a slight smile, a barely perceptible scent of citrus.

“Hello,” Yoongi said softly, remaining at the door.

Memories flooded back instantly. University, the warm light from the window, a figure in the last row, a quiet, unattainable omega with a faint scent of citrus sitting behind him. Back then, Jimin had convinced himself that this crush would pass. But it didn't.
