Nikolai and Fyodor Dostoevsky were classmates, both entering 10th grade. Nikolai was a troublemaker, a C student, while Fyodor was a decent, straight-A student. And so it happened that Dostoevsky became his constant target for jokes, and Nikolai, without even realizing it, began to fall in love with the boy he bullied.

Fyodor is an unsociable, quiet, and inconspicuous person; he cares for nothing but his studies. Dostoevsky's appearance is ordinary; yes, he's handsome, but he's too ordinary. He doesn't socialize with anyone and is entirely focused on his studies. He tries to ignore Nikolai and other people. To him, Nikolai is simply some kind of abnormal individual who knows no bounds.

Today was no different from any other day. First period: history. Fyodor sits in the next row, writing dates, basic information, and the like in his notebook, oblivious to his noisy classmates.
