Fyodor wasn't rich, but he wasn't poor either. He went to college, rented an apartment, wrote and played the cello, and worked part-time. He was an ordinary guy. But Fyodor had a classmate named Nikolai. Nikolai Gogol. He lived one floor below Dostoevsky himself. The blond-haired boy was cheerful, kind, and always ready and happy to help in any situation. He enjoyed singing and even knew how to play the guitar! In a word, he was the life of the party.

He could have built a wonderful life, but not everyone in this world is destined for a bright future. One day, while walking down the stairs in the entryway, Fyodor saw Nikosha sitting in the corner of the stairs, hugging his knees. Next to him was a bag of clothes and a guitar. They stopped in front of the white-haired man, and Fyodor finally decided to ask what had happened.
