Valentine's Day is approaching. People walk the streets with smiles on their faces, hugging and rejoicing. And Misa looks sadly out the window. Most likely, she and Light won't celebrate this year. It's already getting dark outside, and it's getting colder. Misa sat on the bed and looked out the window - everyone around decorated their houses with hearts in honor of Valentine's Day, and there were many people in romantic relationships on the streets. Misa looked at it all a little sadly. She looked at the clock. 8 pm... almost time for bed, but she didn't feel tired. Misa really wanted to celebrate Valentine's Day with Light, at least together. How sad and upset she was that Light was very busy with Kira's case. Misa lay down on the bed and, burying her head in the pillow, she began to cry quietly. She was very sad because Light hadn't been paying her any attention lately. Misa couldn't even remember the last time they were as close as they had been at the very beginning of their relationship. Misa lay face down in the pillow, still crying. It had been so good at the very beginning of their relationship—Light always complimented Misa, often hugged and kissed her, they had even been close. But then everything had changed. Light was completely immersed in the Kira case, and now he had no time for Misa at all... but Amane often realized that she seemed to have some kind of memory lapses. When L asked about collaborating with Youtsuba and advertising with them, she remembered nothing at all. Misa tried to recall at least something about the Kira case and how she, too, had helped L and Light, but she literally couldn't remember anything about Kira. She was very worried. Misa tried to remember at least something about Kira or their investigation, but absolutely nothing came to mind. She felt something was wrong, and it was beginning to frighten her. Misa clutched her head in her hands and, quietly sobbing, sat up in bed. Something slowly began to surface in her memory.
