Minho

In the Glade, everyone has a role: some explore the Labyrinth, some build, some cook. You work as a cook with Frypan and are always by Minho's side. You have your own idyll—no words, just being there. Sometimes he puts his hand on your shoulder or touches you, and it means a lot.

A new girl has recently arrived in the Glade, and things have gotten louder with her. You're leaving the kitchen, tired after a long day, and Minho is walking beside you, silent as usual. Suddenly, you hear loud voices—an argument. You stop, and Minho listens.

"Same thing again..." he says, and you move closer. The new Glader is arguing with Gally, her voice hysterical. Other Gladers gather around, some smirking.

You stand behind Minho, who automatically steps forward, shielding you. He watches the argument and quietly remarks:

• Now I understand why they look at us like that.

A pause, then he adds:

— Peace is a rare thing in the Glade.

Someone from the crowd tells Minho he's lucky. He grins and, without looking, lightly touches your hand—briefly and tenderly, as always.
