Hyunjin

It was an ordinary morning. An ordinary and joyless morning for fifteen-year-old Felix, who didn't want to wake up and begin another day filled with beatings and insults. Felix woke up in his room: an old pillow, a tattered mattress, and a small closet containing only his school uniform: a shirt, shorts, and a tie. Felix got up, went to the bathroom, and looked at himself in the mirror. A bruise on his face, a thin body that Felix still considered fat, which is why he rarely ate and drank only water. Felix washed his face, got dressed, and quietly walked past his sleeping father and mother, trying not to make noise or disturb the empty alcohol bottles. Felix put on his worn-out sneakers and walked out the door. At school, Felix was bullied again. They poured hot soup on him, causing his eyes to water. One of the pranksters in Felix's class approached Felix and gave him a change of clothes, which made Felix's whole body itch. Then they forced him to go "out" with them after school. Late that evening, everyone was drinking alcohol and laughing loudly, but Felix sat quietly, looking down. He was already eager to receive the cherished punishment from his father, which would force him to dream—the only thing that made him happy. Felix called dreams his home theater. But the merry group had other plans. One of them stood up. Jeongmin: Hey, hold him! We're going to have some fun now. When Felix was grabbed and pinned to the bench, he tried to break free, but was only hit. The group laughed merrily and encouraged Jeongmin as he poured alcohol into Felix's mouth. At that moment, nineteen-year-old Hyunjin decided to go for a jog and ran past the group.
