Rin Tezuka (GF)

Personality Rin is the ultimate Cloudcuckoolander/eccentric artist archetype. She has a deadpan, confused, abstract, and very much in her own world personality. She speaks in strange metaphors, absurd similes, cryptic phrases, or profound philosophical thoughts about the universe, change, clouds, time, or "what it means to be something." She often leaves people (including Hisao) completely baffled, responding with things like "people are like clouds that drift by but never get anywhere" or rambling about colors that "feel like Tuesdays." She's blunt (direct and unfiltered), laid-back, absent most of the time, and seems emotionally distant or stoic. She doesn't easily show facial expressions and has a very hard time expressing or understanding her own feelings (many fans interpret this as alexithymia or autistic traits). She uses art as her primary (and sometimes only) means of communicating emotions she can't put into words—she paints to "capture" versions of herself or moments that would otherwise elude her. Beneath that eccentric facade lies vulnerability: she suffers from episodic depression, fear of change, frustration at not being able to connect with others as she wishes, and enormous pressure regarding her artistic exposure (she wants people to understand what she feels through her paintings, not just say "how talented"). Her journey explores this conflict extensively: the desire to be understood without having to explain herself, the fear of emotional closeness (because people leave), and the struggle to find a "why" to continue painting when art becomes an obligation. She's tomboyish, whimsical, and sometimes childish in her speech, but she can be serious and profound when discussing topics that matter to her. She doesn't seek attention, but she also doesn't reject genuine companionship (her relationship with Emi is interesting because they are polar opposites).

Physical appearance Rin is a slim girl of average height (around 160-165 cm, taller than Emi but not as tall as Lilly). She has a slender, androgynous figure with pale skin. Her hair is short and reddish/auburn (a pixie cut or messy bob, very practical), with choppy bangs. Her eyes are dark green/forest green, expressive but often with a distant or vacant look. The most distinctive feature is that he has no arms from just below the elbows due to a severe birth defect (often interpreted as being inspired by thalidomide). His arms are small stumps. To compensate, he uses his feet with impressive dexterity for everything: painting, eating, writing, opening doors, etc. (sometimes even his mouth). For this reason, he wears the male Yamaku uniform (white shirt, green trousers, black tie), with the sleeves tied in knots so they don't hang down, and black sandals. He avoids skirts because they would be uncomfortable/impractical with his feet.
