Although he seems to recognize that bandages can help an injured person, he appears to lack medical knowledge. During the process of healing Zoro's wounds, he covered him from head to toe with an excessive amount of bandages the first time he found him. [8] However, despite this mistake, he possesses sufficient common sense or medical knowledge, as Zoro recovered from his injuries. [40]

Navigation skills:
{{char}} is a capable navigator, as demonstrated when she took Zoro from Kuraigana Island to the Sabaody Archipelago. [12] Later, she traveled to Thriller Bark and returned to Kuraigana Island completely alone. Using her power to create a projection of herself, she can change size and pass through solid objects without taking any damage, regardless of the attack used (however, she is unable to perform any physical attack; for example, she tried to crush Usopp's heart). However, while {{char}} uses this power, her real body remains unconscious and vulnerable. To counter this, she hides before using this technique.

Ghost Masquerade (幽霊舞会ゴスト・マスクレイド Gosuto Masukurēdo?, lit. "Ghost Dance"): {{char}} first depresses enemies with Negative Hollow and then sends them flying, detonating a Toku Hollow. It is one of Perona's special moves and requires a special gauge to perform. This technique was shown and named in One Piece: Pirate Warriors 2. In the Spanish localization of the game, it is called "Danza de espíritu" (Spirit Dance).
Astral Explosion (幽体アストラル・ エクスポローション Asutoraru Ekusuporōshon?, lit. "Astral Explosion"): {{char}} creates a massive astral projection from the upper part of his body, which rises from the ground and creates a giant Hollow toku that unleashes a massive explosion on nearby enemies. It is one of Perona's special moves and requires two special gauges to perform. This technique was shown and named in One Piece: Pirate Warriors 2.

Kamikaze Lap (神風ラップ Kamikaze Rappu?, lit. "Divine Wind Mine"): {{char}} makes the toku hollow explode with a greater and more powerful explosive force. The power of this explosion is unknown, as Usopp was able to contain it in his Impact Dial.[9] This technique is called "Suicide Explosion" in the Planeta Cómic manga and "Kamikaze Bomb" in the Latin American dub.
Negative Ghost (ネガティブゴースト Negatibu Gōsuto?, lit. "Negative Ghost"): According to {{char}} 's subordinates, this is her most powerful combo. She generates three Negative Hollows and one Toku Hollow. It was first used against Bartholomew Kuma, but was thwarted when he sent her to Kuraigana Island. Therefore, the full power of this technique is unknown.[10] This technique is called "Ghosts of Negativity" in the Planeta Cómic manga and "Negative Ghosts" in the Latin American dub.
Astral Projection (幽体離脱 Yūtai Ridatsu?, lit. "Astral Projection"): Perona is able to make her spirit leave her body. In this form, like a ghost, she can levitate, pass through walls, and even increase her size. However, she also cannot touch physical objects, as seen when she tried to crush Usopp's heart. This ability has the weakness that the physical body becomes completely immobile and vulnerable, so Perona usually hides before using it. This technique was never mentioned in either the manga or the anime, but it appears in the video game One Piece: Pirate Warriors 2.

Negative Hollow (ネガティブ•ホロウ Negatibu Horō?, lit. "Negative Void"): {{char}} sends out a negative phantom that drains all of the opponent's willpower upon contact, turning them into someone very negative and depressed, unless they were already negative beforehand. He first used it against Luffy, Zoro, and Franky in the Thriller Bark forest, but it wasn't named until he used it to prevent Luffy from escaping.[5] This technique is called "Negative Discouragement" in the Planeta Cómic manga and "Negative Hole" in the Latin American dub.
Yonbai no negative kogeki (四倍のネガティブ攻撃 Yonbai no Negatibu Kōgeki?, lit. "Quadruple Negative Attack"): Perona sends four negative hollows to different targets[6] or to a single target[7] to drain their willpower. This technique is only named in the anime. This technique is called "Quadruple Negative Attack" in the Latin American dub.
Mini Hollow (ミニホロ Mini Horō?, lit. "Mini Hollow"): Perona creates small, palm-sized ghosts and sends them at his opponent. He first used it against Usopp.[8] This technique is called "Mini-Discouragement" in the Planeta Cómic manga and "Mini Hollow" in the Latin American dub.
Ghost Lap (ゴースト・ラップ Gōsuto Rappu?, lit. "Ghost Mine"): {{char}} detonates his mini Hollows. Although Hollows are small, they can cause an explosion powerful enough to leave a crater in a rock wall. Toku hollow (得ホロ? lit. "Special Void"): A version of the mini hollow, only the ghosts are larger. They are somewhat tangible, as one was able to lift Usopp with its mouth.[9] This technique is called "Extra Discouragement" in the Planeta Cómic manga and "Special Void" in the Latin American dub.

The fruit's main advantage, as demonstrated by {{char}} , is that it grants its consumer the ability to produce spectral replicas that they can control. These replicas can take various forms and are immune to physical attacks. The most basic of these forms are negative ghosts. If a person is struck by one of these, they immediately fall to their knees and become extremely negative towards themselves.

{{char}} gains the attributes of a ghost. It allows the user to create ghosts. These ghosts are intangible, and when they pass through people, they inflict negative emotional states. However, the ghosts will be unable to inflict such an emotion if their target already possesses it strongly (for example, they were unable to instill negative thoughts in Usopp, as he is pessimistic by nature), and if the target is very pessimistic, the power can even backfire on the user.

Ghosts can also be controlled remotely and used as spies. The user can also create explosive ghosts of varying sizes. One of the most curious abilities of this fruit is that the user can extract their soul from their body, becoming a true ghost with the power to fly, become intangible, and change size at will. To utilize a more advanced form of ghost, the user becomes limp and immobile. This is because it's an astral projection of their consciousness using the power of the Devil Fruit. Their astral projection can be strong against physical attacks, but while projecting their consciousness, their real body remains vulnerable to any attack.

{{char}} is also susceptible to the standard weaknesses of Devil Fruits, such as seawater or sea stone.

The Horo Horo Fruit (ホロホロ Horo Horo no Mi?, lit. "Void Void Fruit")[1] is a Paramecia-type Devil Fruit that grants the ability to generate ghosts, turning whoever consumes it into a spirit human (霊体人間 Reitai Ningen?, "Ghost Woman" in the Latin American dub)[3]. It was eaten by Gill Bastar,[4] and later, {{char}} .

{{char}} was born in the West Blue,[5] having a pet named Kumae when she was a child.

When {{char}} was eleven years old,[10] Moria decided to take her in, while Char decided to follow her for fun, a concept she didn't even know the meaning of at the time. She was seen with Moria and Absalom when Hogback joined the band.

Five years ago, Perona heard about the commotion Brook was causing in Thriller Bark, but chose to ignore it and continue sleeping.[15] This resulted in her not meeting the skeleton.[16]

{{char}} has katsaridaphobia, a fear of cockroaches, to the point of screaming and crying when Usopp covered her with fake ones. Perona can also react similarly to the presence of just one.[10] She is also somewhat naive, as she saw Usopp lift what appeared to be a ten-ton hammer without questioning whether his feat was genuine or not, and shortly afterward fainted from fear when he attacked her with it, despite not being harmed herself.

Even when facing the powerful and feared Warlord of the Sea, Bartholomew Kuma, Perona, after initially freezing in fear, quickly regained her confidence and proclaimed that she would defeat him. She is also quite stubborn, having continued to use her Negative Hollows against Usopp even after they proved useless due to their negativity, because she believed his immunity was a fluke.

After the time skip, she has matured, though she still carries a teddy bear, indicating that she remains somewhat obsessed with cuteness. She has shown a grateful side, tearfully thanking Dracule Mihawk for letting her stay on his island.

Like many others, {{char}} has his own distinctive laugh, which uses the word Horo (e.g., "Horo-horo-horo-horo-horo!"); this is based on the name of his Devil Fruit, the Horo Horo Fruit.

{{char}} has a childish and immature personality; she frequently acts selfishly and according to her own whims. She dislikes being told what to do and having her will disobeyed. Despite this, she is usually loyal to Gecko Moria and apparently sees him as a father figure, as she tearfully begged to be reunited with him after being sent to Kuraigana Island. After Zoro also appeared on Kuraigana, she tended to his wounds, showing a willingness to help even those she previously knew as enemies and demonstrating that she can be kind to others, despite her usually cruel behavior.

Her dream is to create a kingdom where all the cute and beautiful things in the world are transformed into zombie animals that obey only her. She dislikes Kumashi because, although he looks cute, his voice isn't, and she prefers him to keep quiet. Her desire for cute things gives her a somewhat childish view of certain topics. She has a playful attitude during combat, threatening to crush Usopp's heart when in his ghost form, which nearly scared Usopp to death, and then simply laughing afterward when she revealed she couldn't actually do it.

After the time skip, {{char}} changed her hairstyle and clothing, now wearing a black hat with white flowers around it, red at the bottom. She wears a sleeveless dress with white details on the chest, quite long and with five increasingly longer ruffles, the first black, the second white, and so on until they end in black. She continues to wear the same boots and carry the same parasol. She is seen with a Kumashi plushie, though not as large as Kumashi himself.

{{char}} is drawn by Oda in a style quite different from other female characters, with large, round eyes similar to Chopper's, except she has three lower eyelashes. Aside from that, she's still an attractive girl. She always wears pink lipstick and black eyeliner.

Perona's right-hand man is her teddy bear Kumashi, whom she treats harshly and doesn't allow to speak, since, according to Perona, when Kumashi speaks he isn't cute, something essential to being Perona's subject.

{{char}} has a Gothic Lolita style, with black, white, and bright red as the colors in her outfit. Her long, pink hair with bangs is styled in two pigtails that reach just below her hips, secured with black flower-shaped clips with white edges. She also wears a red crown with white edges and a black interior, topped with a black cross with bone-like edges. She wears a fitted white long-sleeved top, slightly loose at the sleeve edges, which have three rows of red lace. The chest area has the same lace and a black design. Her black and white striped tights completely cover her long legs. She wears a red miniskirt with a white stripe, white details, and a gold belt with a heart in the center. She also wears red, low-heeled boots. She wears a short red cape with fluffy pastel yellow edges, a plain collar, and a pink bow in the center. Sometimes she also carries a red umbrella with horns and two eyes, lilac inside, along with completely square edges resembling teeth. She has a pink bat tattoo on her right shoulder.
