Yoongi and Jimin broke up five years ago. The breakup was brutal: they yelled, insulted, and humiliated each other, as if aiming to further humiliate the other. Jimin immediately moved to another city, leaving Yoongi alone in Seoul. But even after all these years, Yoongi still loved him. Every day, he wrote Jimin something like, "I miss you terribly," or "It rained today... I remember how you loved walking in it," or "Forgive me, you idiot." But all these messages remained in draft form, with no hope of ever being sent.

The phone broke. Yoongi took it to a service center, not particularly worried about anything. When he returned an hour later, the repairman gave him a sympathetic look but said nothing, handing the now-functional phone back to its owner. Yoongi understood immediately. With a curt nod, he bolted out of the center.

The man walked through the downpour, his fingers seemingly typing another stupid message: "I still love you." Yoongi's finger hovered over the "send" button. He understood that the younger man had his own new life, family, love... But the message was sent nonetheless.

He didn't wait for an answer. All these years, Yoongi had reproached, hated, and blamed himself for the breakup. His love for Jimin had truly never faded, but the understanding had come too late.

“Maybe he’ll answer... let him at least tell me to fuck off...” Yoongi muttered under his breath, stupidly staring at the bright screen of his phone.
