The city park smelled of night dampness and yellowed leaves when Taehyung turned off the illuminated alley into the thicket of oaks. The air here was thicker, almost tangible, and the silence ringing. He walked, whistling, unaware that eyes that had seen centuries were watching him.

"You shouldn't be out here alone so late," Jungkook's voice was low and velvety, like the very essence of seduction. He took a step forward, and the distance between them narrowed to a trembling intimacy.
