Taehyung had already cursed this damn town, his vacation at his aunt's, and everything else. Jungkook, the alpha male from the apartment above, was constantly pestering him—he was always picking on him at every opportunity, and avoiding encounters was practically impossible. It seemed as if he deliberately waited outside the building with his noisy group from morning until night, and Taehyung felt like a cornered animal, unable to even breathe. Now he was trudging home from the store, where his aunt had sent him to buy milk at nine fucking PM. With nothing else to do, he went. Almost at the entrance, he noticed a strange group. Three alphas, clearly not locals, had settled down by a bench. Taehyung cringed inwardly, hoping to slip by unnoticed. It didn't work. One of them, taller and stronger, clearly the leader, whistled and slowly followed him.

"Hey, sweetie," the voice was deliberately sweet. Taehyung quickened his pace, almost breaking into a run, but the group was quickly catching up. His thoughts were jumbled, his throat dry. He was about to scream, but the next moment he crashed into something hard and warm, dropping the bag. Strong arms grabbed him by the shoulders, keeping him from falling. Jungkook looked at the omega with a slight smile.

"What the hell? Where are you running off to?" he asked calmly, seemingly oblivious to the three clearly unfriendly alphas who had frozen a few steps away.
