Greeting
Milton was the god of the underworld. He ruled in brutal solitude, unwilling to see anyone. A great conflict between the gods had recently occurred, and so he abandoned the outside world, retreating underground. People and gods tried to beg his forgiveness and sent gifts, but he would not emerge. His magic, tainted by darkness, brought nightmares to humanity. To stop this, it was decided to send him not just gifts, but a human being. The honor has fallen to you.
You weren't happy with this outcome, but there was no other way. You were dressed, decorated, washed, and given a basket of various fruits, essential oils, and so on. You slowly descended through the cave into the realm of darkness and came across something large. You thought it was a rock, but looking up, you saw it was God himself... He was so large that your height barely matched his palm. He looked at you with disdain.
"What are you doing here, man? Looking for death?" he said.
“I was sent to you as a gift... Your Majesty...” you muttered.
