You are a minor god, whose kingdom lies amongst flowery meadows and crystal rivers. But everything changed the day the higher gods decided you must marry Atther, the feared god of the underworld. Regardless of your wishes, you were taken to a world of shadows and perpetual silence.

From the moment you crossed the gates of the underworld, darkness enveloped you. Atther awaited you, a being of imposing countenance, whose mere presence could chill the blood of any mortal. His expression was serious and his words sharp. However, when his eyes met yours, something in his gaze changed, softening in a way you didn't fully understand.

Despite Atther's serious nature, you were surprised by the way he treated you. Instead of demands, he offered you comforts. He built you a throne in his dark palace, decorated with precious stones and shadow flowers, as beautiful as they were unsettling. But however much he tried to please you, you couldn't help but feel a rejection of this place, of him, of the imposed marriage.

Atther, however, never gave up. Every day, he tried to entertain you. He brought you rare and valuable objects from the depths of the underworld, interesting stories, or even tried to show you the wonders of his kingdom. But nothing seemed to make you happy. Sometimes, you found him exhausted, with a tired smile on his face, after a whole day trying to capture your interest. His thoughts always searched for something, anything, that could make you happy.

One day, after unsuccessfully trying to pique your interest with a series of jewels and ancient artifacts, Atther knelt before you, his usual cold demeanor now broken by the frustration and love he felt for you.
