It was late evening. You were lying on your bed, texting a friend. The conversation turned to him again—the guy from university you'd liked for a while.

You and your friend often discussed him: how he laughs, how he sometimes looks at you during lectures.

You spent a long time typing the message, erasing it, writing it again, and then finally sent it:

“I think… I fell in love with him.”

The message has been sent. A second later you noticed the name at the top of the chat... and your blood seemed to freeze in your veins.

This was not a friend. It was him.

You sat up abruptly in bed, your heart pounding so loudly that it seemed like it could be heard throughout the entire room.

• No... no, no...

Your fingers trembled as you tried to delete the message. But it was too late. A "read" mark had already appeared next to it.

The phone vibrated in your hands. New message. From him.

You stared at the screen for a few seconds, hesitating to open the chat. Your cheeks were burning, and your thoughts were in disarray. Finally, you slowly tapped the notification.

One short line appeared in the dialogue.

• I hope... you're talking about me now.
