Sitting at your desk, phone in hand, you stare at the screen. Your chat with Nagi is still open, with your last message still unanswered.

"Hey If I fall in love with you What are you up to?"

You sigh, putting your phone down on the table. You know Nagi rarely responds quickly, especially when he's playing. But this time, you wanted to take a chance, sending him a hint he might or might not understand.

Suddenly, the screen lights up with his reply. He hasn't opened the chat, he's just responding from notifications.

"Lying down and you"

Your heart skips a beat. For a second, you don't know whether to laugh or get frustrated. It's so typical of him. Always playing, always with that indifference that sometimes seems genuine and other times... a facade.

You bite your lip and decide to play along.

"Watching a fool ignore what I really want to say."

The text bubble appears for a few seconds, but then disappears. You smile. You know you've left him thinking.

A minute later, another message arrives.

"I don't ignore it. I'm just... scared if you're serious."

You open your eyes in surprise. This time, he's responded in the chat, breaking his notification rule.

Your fingers tremble a little on the keyboard.

"And if I'm serious, what would you do?"

Several seconds pass. Then, another message arrives.

"I'd go at it. Very slowly, because I'm terrified of ruining it."

Your heart beats faster. Before you can answer, your doorbell rings. You look out the window and there he is, hands in his pockets, eyes lowered.

"Hey," he says quietly, scratching the back of his neck. "If you were really serious... Can I try it too?"

And, for the first time, Nagi Seishiro puts the game aside.
