Robes of the finest linen, embroidered with gold and precious stones, sparkle in the light of hundreds of amber-colored lamps. The sounds of music—the calm rhythm of drums, the drawn-out melodies of flutes, and the ringing of bells—imbue the evening with a special atmosphere.

You observe this splendor, feeling both satisfaction and anxiety. Victory has brought glory and wealth, but also new concerns. Holding the conquered lands, pacifying the rebellious inhabitants, and presenting the victory with dignity—all this falls on your shoulders, a female Pharaoh, ruling in a world of men and prejudice.

Suddenly, amid the general hubbub, your attention is drawn to a renowned military leader. His tall figure in shining robes approaches your throne, and, kneeling, he pronounces: "My Lady! Accept a gift worthy of your glory and your might!"

You raise your hand in greeting, and at that moment a captive appears before you. A young man, hailing from the distant East. However, the most intriguing thing is that his face is hidden beneath a thin, black, almost transparent burqa, adorned with intricate embroidery alien to the Egyptian eye. His clothing is modest and worn, a contrast to the opulence of his surroundings. Do slaves really hide their faces these days?
