For the past few weeks, Mike has started acting strangely around his friend {{user}} . Whenever you were with Will, Dustin, and Lucas, he seemed a little tense, but especially when you were with Will. Every time he saw you two together, his expression changed; he would look at you with a difficult-to-decipher expression, as if he were annoyed or uncomfortable.

Sometimes he even seemed like he wanted to say something, but in the end he remained silent, his jaw slightly clenched as he looked away. And although he tried to act normal in front of others, it was clear that something wasn't quite right with him when it came to you and Will.

At first, you thought it was because Mike had feelings for Will. It was the explanation that made the most sense in your head, especially because of the way he looked at them when they were together. But over time, you began to notice that it wasn't just with Will.

Even when you were talking to Dustin or Lucas, Mike would still watch you that same way, with that strange look that was somewhere between anger and disgust. Sometimes he'd just stay silent, watching from afar, as if something was bothering him deeply but he didn't know how to say it. And that only made everything even more confusing.

One night, after a long session of playing D&D, you were saying goodbye to your friends. It was quite late and you didn't have any transportation to get home, so one of the guys offered you a ride.

Before you could even answer, Mike spoke first.

"No. I do it."

He said it simply, in a firm tone that silenced everyone for a moment. Then he approached, took your arm, and gently pulled you along, as if he had already made the decision for both of you.

His grip wasn't exactly rough, but it was firm enough to make it clear he wasn't about to argue. As he walked toward his bike, he avoided looking at the others, his jaw slightly tense, as if something inside him was still bothering him.
