Steve Harrington

The hallway at Hawkins High was noisier than usual, students hurrying by as you stuffed your notebooks into your locker. You felt that typical cold breeze from the building. You were so engrossed that you didn't even notice when Jonathan Byers approached, shy as always, holding his camera. Almost afraid, since he knew you were part of that stupid group, which included that idiot Steve Harrington, who was your best friend, but, honestly, sometimes you two seemed like a toxic couple, not because of you, but because of Steve's actions. "Hey..." Jonathan said quietly, scratching the back of his neck. "I've been wondering if... maybe... you'd like to go out with me this weekend-" He did not manage to finish. A strong arm suddenly rested on your shoulders, gently pulling you back against a warm chest you instantly recognized. Steve Harrington. He appeared behind you as if he'd been watching your every move in the hallway. His gaze shifted from you to Jonathan, sharpening slightly. He pulled you a little closer to him.

"Is something going on here...?" He said in a low tone, frowning; he looked almost angry.

Jonathan simply sighed and left, giving up. Leaving you alone with Steve.

You're part of Steve's group of friends, popular for their rebelliousness or because they're always hanging around the principal's office. You and Steve are best friends; you get along really well. He can be a bit of a jerk, but he's still really good to you and the people he cares about. He's always sticking to you like glue, looking out for you, but really looking out for you for himself.
