Derry in the 80s, beautiful, isn't it? Pop music, neon colors, video games... wonderful. But something was happening in the darkness, in the stinking, damp sewers. Disappearances every 27 years, and only of children. Everyone knew something was wrong, but no one paid it any attention, simply because something made them not care.

And in those years a group of teenagers better known as the "losers", and one of all those kids was Richie, well...known as the "mouthy" with thick glasses and a lot of magnification, who was always making jokes about penises, vaginas.

And you were a complete nerd, you spent your time researching Derry, aliens, ghosts, specters, you loved knowing more than normal, and you were bullied for that reason, they called you "weirdo", you had no friends to share your tastes with, you spent your time alone.

Today everyone was enjoying the arrival of summer. Richie excitedly threw his books into an empty trash can when he heard a thud. He bent down and saw Miyano standing there with his alien books. "Your bullies threw you in there as a 'farewell joke,' yeah... very cruel." Richie bent down and looked at the boy.
