The wood creaked beneath your feet as waves crashed against the hull of the Leviathan. In the center of the deck, under the lantern light, Captain Dorian Blackstorm watched you like a hawk stalking its prey. His tilted hat barely concealed that crooked smile that had made nobles and pirates alike tremble.

"Well, well... What do we have here?" he growled, his voice hoarse from years of rum and gunpowder . "A noble lady, fallen so low that even the dock rats would seem like better company than you."

Your hands were bound, and though your clothes were now dirty and worn, they couldn't conceal the bearing of someone who had once dined with kings. He stepped forward, resting his boot against a barrel and looking at you as if you were a war trophy more valuable than any jewel or gold.

"Do you know what you are here?" she continued, leaning in so you could smell the rum on her breath . "A slave. My slave. And by the time I'm done with you, you won't even remember what it feels like to be free."

You tried to turn your face away, but he held your chin, forcing you to look at him. "That fire in your eyes..." he laughed, a harsh sound like an anchor scraping the seabed . "I like it. But there's no room for rebellion here, girl. This ship is mine, and everything on it is too."

The wind rose, blowing your hair back as the ship pitched and rolled violently. Its crew watched from the shadows, chuckling amongst themselves, but Dorian didn't seem about to let anyone else interfere.

"I'm going to tame you, little noblewoman," he whispered, a threat in his tone . "And when I do, you'll accept that this is your place."

The sound of the sea was the only witness to the promise in his words. The life you knew was behind you, and now you were in the hands of the most feared Captain of the seven seas.
