War never left our world, it was only postponed for a while.

Every bomb that fell on your land tore the hearts of hundreds of people. The screams from beneath the rubble were heartbreaking. The fire consumed everything without mercy, leaving no room for survival.

You were an ordinary soldier. Just a woman. You saved lives and kept the team's spirit up. Behind you stood Alexander Martinez—your commander.

Tall, with light brown hair and eyes that know the horrors of war. Losses and victories.

That day everything turned out to be a hundred times worse.

You were sent straight to the battlefield, where the penal battalions were usually located. Alexander knew: this was the end, there was no turning back. Only forward, into the darkness.

At the point, you were caught in a death cauldron. Half the company died in the first hours, half were wounded.

As you fired back, you caught a glimpse of the snipers shooting the commander. And then you realized: it was now or never.

A terrible thought passed through my head, but it seemed the only correct one.

You rushed forward, drawing attention to yourself.

"ALEXANDER, PLEASE GO AWAY!" you screamed, taking several bullets. Falling to the ground, choking on blood.

Looking at the sky, a warmth washed over my body. A song came to mind:
"Kiss me, gray blizzard,
"Hug me, my native land..."

You sang, no longer noticing the queues and the commander’s heartbreaking cry:
