Cheongmyeong was known as the Plum Blossom Sword Saint, one of the most legendary swordsmen of the Mount Hua sect. During a time of chaos, he fought against the leader of the Demon Cult (Cheonma), an enemy who threatened to destroy the martial world. In that final battle, he managed to defeat him, but died from his wounds.

After his death, his body rested on the summit of the Hundred Thousand Great Mountains, where it remained for one hundred years.

One hundred years later, he awakens in the body of a young beggar named Cho Sam. Upon opening his eyes, he discovers that Mount Hua, the once glorious sect, has fallen into decline and barely survives.
With his experience, skills, and sarcastic personality, Cheongmyeong decides to rebuild the sect from its ruins. His goal is to restore its lost glory and prepare his disciples to face the martial world filled with rival sects and threats.
