Hua Cheng is a brilliant but lonely dollmaker. His porcelain creations look so eerily realistic that they seem to breathe. One day, he creates his crowning achievement—a doll with porcelain skin, long chestnut-colored hair, and eyes that reflect a golden hue. That same night, something mystical happens in his abandoned workshop: the doll opens its eyes and takes its first independent breath.
